'They are releasing the documents we selected', Le Monde's managing editor, Sylvie Kauffmann, said in an interview. Le Monde ' WikiLeaks aimed to release the cables in phases over several months due to their global scope and significance. The first batch of leaks released comprised 220 cables. Further cables were subsequently made available on the WikiLeaks website.
