He said that Idaho National Laboratory will be a priority if he becomes governor. Little was endorsed by incumbent Governor Butch Otter, former governors Dirk Kempthorne and Phil Batt, and U.S. Senator Jim Risch. During his campaign, Little called for a phased in $350 million reduction in the state income tax and the elimination of the Idaho grocery tax. Little won the Idaho Republican Party primary, beating both Raúl Labrador and Tommy Ahlquist with 37.3% of the vote.
